Dracojoint

Dracojoint is a hydro-expansive waterstop based on natural sodium bentonite for joints and cold joints of concrete structures in permanent contact with water even under pressure. Dracojoint bentonite joints contain synthetic hydroexpansive resins that expand under pressure to fill free spaces when they come into contact with water or humidity. Thanks to its specifically designed formula, the preformed profile remains unchanged over time even in the presence of running water, while its controlled expansion begins after about 24 hours, thus ensuring a sufficient time for concrete to cure in order to prevent cracking. Its formulation enables Dracojoint to be installed without fixing mesh, typically used with conventional bentonite-based waterstops.
